Herman Hulse, 90

Herman H. Hulse, age 90 of Whiting, NJ died on Sunday, 4/4/2021 at Crestwood Manor Nursing Center in Whiting. He was born in Spring Lake and lived in Brick his whole life before moving to Whiting in 2017. He was self-employed as a Builder in Brick for many years. He was a life-member of the Mantoloking Fire Department, was a member of the Community First Aid Squad, served as a Search and Rescue Diver and was a founding member of the Ocean County Chapter of the EAA. He enjoyed flying his planes and taking youngsters for their first flights through the Young Eagles program. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gertrude (Turner) Hulse in 2002. He is survived by his brother William, his loving children, Deborah Whitt and her husband, Bob of Whiting, Bruce Hulse and his wife, Martha of Heathsville, Virginia and Craig Hulse and his wife, Carol of Sylacauga, Alabama, five grandchildren, one great grand-child and two step-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Friday, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a service at 4:00 at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home – 885 Mantoloking Rd. Brick, NJ 08723. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there is limited capacity in the funeral home. Visitors are respectfully asked to keep their visits short to allow the most amount of people to pay their respects to the family. Masks and social distancing are required. Interment will be private.
